C3LD | The C3 Living Design Project Website is Under Renovation
This page is currently being Reimagined.
We constructed our website in 2013. The world has changed and it’s time for a resilient bounce. Renovation of our site’s Digital Machinery and the Living Design Vision + Theory it hosts will progress throughout 2023 and 2024.
Reimagining the C3 Living Design Project Website
The site will remain the host for the University of Minnesota’s Masters-level course, Arch 8561, on Sustainable Design Theory + Practice, along with the RELi Resilient Design Guidelines, living news, and more. Renovations to the website’s technology and the distinctive Design Theory for which C3LD is renowned will continue into 2024 and 2025.
The C3 Living Design Project was informally initiated on July 25, 2009, during an AIA Minnesota COTE workshop led by Doug and M. Deborah Pierce, aiming to devise a groundbreaking, multidisciplinary sustainable design approach. On November 8, 2013, the project advanced, marking the launch of the C3 Living Design Project website (C3LD). Over the past decade, C3LD has wielded a significant influence both presently and looking forward. We remain committed to molding the future with actionable concepts for profound transformation toward a Living World, both now and beyond.
