C3LD | The C3 Living Design Project Website is Under Renovation
This page is currently being Reimagined.
We constructed our website in 2013. The world has changed and it’s time for a resilient bounce. Renovation of our site’s Digital Machinery and the Living Design Vision + Theory it hosts will progress throughout 2023 and 2024.
Reimagining the C3 Living Design Project Website
After a decade of use, the original C3 Living Design website is being retired, recreated and replaced with a new site using the current generation of digital machinery. A partially renovated C3LD site went live in August of 2023. The site will continue to host the UMN Sustainable Design Theory + Practice Masters level course Arch 8516, the RELi Resilient Design Guidelines, living news, and more. Renovation work on the site’s Web Technologies, and the Design Theory that C3LD is known for will continue through 2024 / 2025.
The C3 Living Design Project was informally launched on July 25, 2009. It began at an AIA Minnesota COTE workshop facilitated by Doug and M. Deborah Pierce with the goal of crafting an innovative, multi-disciplinary sustainable design approach. On November 8, 2013, the project progressed to a more formal stage with the launch of the C3 Living Design Project website (C3LD). Over the last decade C3LD has has hand an impactful influence on the present and the future. We continue to actively shape the next generation of thinking with actionable ideas for deep Transformation to a Living World now, and into the future.
